Andrea Zucco is the principal bassoon of the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and a professor at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester (RNCM) and at the Fiesole School of Music. As principal bassoon, he has performed concerts all over the world, invited by orchestras such as the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, the Bayerisches Staatsorchester, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra in Milan, the Tonhalle Orchestra of Zurich, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie. Alongside his orchestral and chamber music activities, he has performed as a soloist with the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Abruzzo Symphony Orchestra, the Marche Philharmonic, and the Sanremo Orchestra. He has given masterclasses at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, the Conservatoire de Genève, the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg, the Folkwang University in Essen, the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, …
Andrea Zucco has served as a jury member for prestigious competitions such as the ARD Competition in Munich and The Muri Competition.
