Maya Oganyan, ventenne,, nasce a Mosca e inizia lo studio del pianoforte all’età di quattro anni, diplomandosi con il massimo dei voti e la menzione d’onore dal Conservatorio “Benedetto Marcello” di Venezia, sotto la guida di M° Massimo Somenzi e M° Olaf John Laneri. Vincitrice di oltre 20 concorsi nazionali e internazionali, tra cui a soli 17 anni, come la più giovane vincitrice del 2° Premio nella storia del concorso, del Premio della Giuria e del Premio Speciale “per il miglior talento femminile”, il “Verona International Piano Competition”, a cui partecipa come la più giovane candidata. Nel 2024 viene selezionata come “student in residence” presso la Verbier Soloists Academy, dove partecipa a concerti e frequenta masterclass con musicisti di fama internazionale tra cui Sir Andras Schiff, Rena Shereshevskaya, Kirill Gerstein, Gabor Takacs-Nagy, Andras Keller. Nel 2025 è vincitrice della selezione annuale della prestigiosa Fondation Gautier Capuçon. Si esibisce all’estero e in tutta Italia con numerose orchestre, tra cui spiccano l’Orchestra Filarmonica di Nizza, l’Orchestra Nazionale Filarmonica Armena, l’Orchestra Arena di Verona, l’Orchestra Filarmonica della Fenice. Appassionata camerista, collabora regolarmente in formazioni con importanti musicisti, tra cui Steven Isserlis, Barnabas Kelemen, Ian Bostridge, Christophe Coin, Pierre Genisson. Nel 2021, a 15 anni, si esibisce in uno dei suoi primi concerti con orchestra accompagnata dall’Orchestra Filarmonica Armena, diretta dal Maestro Eduard Topchjan, nel Teatro dell’Opera di Yerevan, alla presenza del M° Riccardo Muti, seguito da numerose osservazioni positive dallo stesso M° Muti. Il programma viene replicato al Teatro Toniolo di Mestre, al Teatro Verdi di Firenze e al Teatro Verdi di Pordenone. Nel 2023 torna a suonare a Yerevan eseguendo il Concerto per due pianoforti di Mozart con la pianista Eva Gevorgyan. Maya viene invitata a suonare il Concerto n. 23 di Mozart con l’Orchestra Filarmonica Armena e in duo con il violinista Sonig Tchakerian, nella Cappella Paolina del Palazzo del Quirinale, in presenza del Presidente Sergio Mattarella, del Presidente Armen Sarkissian e delle autorità. Allieva di M° Lilya Zilberstein presso l’Accademia Chigiana di Siena, del M° Roberto Prosseda presso l’Accademia di Prato, del M° Enrico Pace presso l’Accademia di Pinerolo, atttualmente si perfeziona sotto la guida del M° Benedetto Lupo presso l’Accademia Santa Cecilia di Roma.

Maya Oganyan, twenty years old, was born in Moscow and began studying the piano at the age of four. She graduated with top marks and honors from the “Benedetto Marcello” Conservatory in Venice under the guidance of Maestro Massimo Somenzi and Maestro Olaf John Laneri. She has been the winner of more than twenty national and international competitions, among which are the “Schumann Prize 2023”, the Public Prize and First Prize in the “Young Female Talents of Music” competition of Soroptimist International, and at just 17 years old, the youngest finalist and winner of the 2nd prize at the “Verona International Piano Competition”.
In 2024, she was selected as a “student in residence” at the Verbier Soloists Academy, where she took part in concerts and masterclasses with internationally renowned musicians including Sir András Schiff, Rena Shereshevskaya, Kirill Gerstein, Gábor Takács-Nagy, and András Keller. In 2025 she won the annual selection of the prestigious Fondation Gautier Capuçon. She performs abroad and throughout Italy with numerous orchestras, including the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Arena di Verona Orchestra, and the La Fenice Philharmonic Orchestra. A passionate chamber musician, she collaborates regularly in ensembles with important musicians such as Steven Isserlis, Barnabás Kelemen, Ian Bostridge, Christophe Coin, and Pierre Génisson. In 2021, at the age of 15, she performed in one of her first concerts with orchestra, accompanied by the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Maestro Eduard Topchjan, at the Yerevan Opera House, in the presence of Maestro Riccardo Muti, who subsequently expressed numerous positive remarks about her performance. The program was later repeated at the Teatro Toniolo in Mestre, the Teatro Verdi in Florence, and the Teatro Verdi in Pordenone. In 2023 she returned to perform in Yerevan, playing Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos with pianist Eva Gevorgyan. Maya was invited to perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra and in duo with violinist Sonig Tchakerian at the Pauline Chapel of the Quirinale Palace, in the presence of President Sergio Mattarella, President Armen Sarkissian, and other authorities. A student of Maestro Lilya Zilberstein at the Chigiana Academy in Siena, of Maestro Roberto Prosseda at the Prato Academy, and of Maestro Enrico Pace at the Pinerolo Academy, she is currently perfecting her studies under Maestro Benedetto Lupo at the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome.
